삼킨 달 한국 사회에서 세대를 거쳐 대물림되는 트라우마의 감정인 ‘한’을 오늘의 한국 디아스포라와 자본주의 현실 속에서 다시 바라보는 사진 프로젝트이다. 작가는 한을 역사적으로 축적된 폭력과 상실의 기억이 몸과 집, 음식, 가족 사진 속에 스며든 감정으로 이해한다. 미국에 거주하는 한국인들을 밤의 실내에서 장노출로 촬영한 초상, 음식과 사물로 구성한 정물, 가족 아카이브와 현재의 이미지를 겹쳐 만든 합성 사진을 통해, 그 감정과 기억이 겹겹이 쌓인 층위를 시각화하고자 한다.

This Moon in Your Throat is a photographic project that revisits Han, a Korean emotion of inherited trauma, within the contemporary realities of the Korean diaspora and capitalism. The artist understands Han as a feeling shaped by historically accumulated memories of violence and loss that permeate bodies, homes, food, and family photographs. Through long-exposure night-time portraits of Korean people living in the United States, still lifes composed of food and objects, and composite images that layer family archives with present-day photographs, the project seeks to visualize the layered textures of this emotion and its memories.
